Working with status Objects - managementboy - 20.01.2016

I may have a misunderstanding on how status objects work.

  1. I created a scene and a corresponding status object. 
       
  2. I created a button in the visualisation to enable/disable the object including the status object there. 
       
  3. Now when I press the button, the script and actions are done, but the status object stays.
What am I doing wrong?

Is status object actually linked to any device? In visualization status object value is used for icon / value display if status object is set. No value is written there.

no, I asume that is the reason... status gets only updated by a device, not the visualization?
