Logic Machine with Debian - gdimaria - 30.03.2020

I heard about LM with Debian on board (https://www.embedded-world.de/en/ausstellerprodukte/embwld20/product-10262584/logicmachine-with-debian)

is that or will be really avaible? How it will work? What the benefits?

Thanks

It is regular LM with Debian installed on it instead of our normal operating system. Additionally we ported some of our apps like CANx app, Mosaic 3.0. The main goal for this device is to let other companies to use LM in custom IoT applications. Debian is used as it is the widely used operating system in IoT. Every developer knows it and can straight start developing his own solution. In such Solution LM will act as data aggregator from sensor network (CANx, Zigbee, etc.) and will send data to the cloud, ours, third party or both. This is very short explanation.

Keep in mind that it only has LM app engine and does not have full LM configuration and visualization interface. This solution is mostly meant for experienced developers.

That's would be very interesting.

In my opinion, would be nice to can shift from classic configuration to Debian, maybe by a double boot option or by providing a second SD Firmware card, to allow buyers to use it based on their needs.

It would also be nice if the Debian version had ample accompanying documentation and that it provided valid alternatives to actual visualization interface which, in its editing part, still has some serious limitations.
