Logout Button - jmir - 17.01.2022

Hi,

We've an installation where there are several LM.
One of them is working as central control and the other ones are used as floor visualitzations.

From the central one we access to each floor using external link button to http://user:pass@LM_IP/scada-vis (where user and password are the ones used as building adminsitrator), now we're logged on the floor LM as "building administrator", then:
  • if we logout (using a logout function button) it asks for loggin
  • we log as user (another account on the LM with less rights than bulding administrator)
  • we logout again
  • now we're not asked to loggin, it logs as building administrator (as it takes de link http://user:pass@LM_IP/scada-vis we've used to log for first time)

Is ther any way to solve this? Perhaps is a very particular situation but if can be solved in any way...

Or can someone explain how logout works? It seems that in some way it redirects to index.html but no sure...

PD.: does http://user:pass@LM_IP/scada-vis works using https?

Thanks.

user:pass@IP is blocked in most browsers for security reasons. If it's enabled in the configuration then it should work with both http and https.

Credentials are handled by the browser. Logout simply says that supplied credentials are incorrect so the login box appears. There's no way to tell browser to forget the credentials that are used.

A simple solution would be to have the whole visualization in a single central LM. You can copy visualization parts from other LMs via export/import feature.

Ok understood!

it's not possible to have whole visualitzation in a single LM because each one of them has several modbus rtu devices (registers mapped to virtual objects) and we doesn't have all the values on the central one... And users from each floor (every floor of the building has its own LM with its own visualitzacion) should log on the central one and manage all from there...

We will change it not noy use user:pass@IP and, on each jump (if not logged), user would be asked for login and password (when using web browser).
More difficult are jumps between LM's using Android App, isn't it? Because the login box doesn't appear and you go to a black screen... Is there any way to do it using app?

Thanks!

No. You can turn off password protection for visu but this is not recommended due to security.
