Wiser4KNX bricked ? - benjii - 24.01.2023
Hello,
I have a Wiser4KNX whose both LEDs don't blink anymore
I tried changing the sd-card various times with no success, i have the feeling it is stuck
the only LED that blinks is the one inside and it blinks red with 1sec interval
Should I buy a new one ?

Which hardware version do you have? Have you flashed correct recovery image to the card?

I don't get to that step
it never boots I guess, both LEDs don't light up nor blink
there is only the one inside that blinks red

Did you try to connect or ping it anyway? It has the default IP.

Did you use same card or did you got a new one, if new what size is it?

I used the same card at first, didn't work and then i bought a new one 4gb and it didn't work

No more ideas, if you fallowed everything correctly then it is broken.

is there any documentation about the LED status ?
does it mean something when none of them are blinking ?

Hello, something similar happened to me. Suddenly the device (a LSS100100) stopped working and it didn't blink after resteng the power, only the red LED inside. I tried with 3 different microSD cards and all them worked in another device but not in the broken one, so I deduce that the cards where ok. After that, I tried with Schneiders restore image, and it didn't work. Today I used the logicmachine's recovery image, and I success in powering it on. After that, I used the correct firmware for my device hardware.
It's something strange that the Schneider's restore image works in some cases and not in others, but this had happened to me in the last few months, before that it worked flawlesly. I also have a backup of a working clean image, and it works fine.

SE old recovery image will not work on latest devices. They should update it with ours.
