Camera via HTTP - Nikita - 17.04.2023

Hello,
I'm using camera Dahua IPC-HFW5541T-ASE. Sub-stream 1 and MJPEG format.
Link for getting snapshot is: http://192.168.14.9/cgi-bin/snapshot.cgi?loginuse=admin&loginpas=admin123456!!

To get right link I use https://www.ispyconnect.com/camera/dahua

It's opening in new tab at browser and everything is good. But not opening it in mosaic, but if run via Firefox browser then snapshoot is visible. Also this not working through app at phone. Could you help with solving this issue?

You are probably blocked by browser with simple auth, If your camera can provide authentication via url parameters then it should work. Otherwise the only doable solution is this

Your camera should be able to provide jpeg snapshot

If it will be blocked, it couldn't to be opened in browser by url, no? Because by this link I get a snapshot.
Is it necessary that will be only JPEG not MJPEG?

Looks that I finally create a right link for snapshot and everything working via chrome. But in app it's steal empty, where I should look a problem?

I cannot attach a video, but video is refreshing

The Chrome screenshot, is it also from cloud or locally?

RE: Cmera via HTTP - Nikita - 17.04.2023

Yea, you're right, it's going from local. Thanks Smile

RE: Cmera via HTTP - Daniel - 17.04.2023

To see it in cloud make sure to sync cloud app.

Hey,

I wrote to dahua support, and they give URL which can provide authentication via url parameters and at each browser it works perfectly, but then I open Mosaic via app nothing is working, then I open it via phone browser, it's ask a login and pass and normally write to it impossible because each second is going refresh of link.

If i at separate list I'll make widget where refreshing time 0, then it becomes a possible to write login and pass, then everything is working fine but would like that camera will work through app.

Why it happens if browsers not asking authentication?

URL: http://admin:admin123@CAMERA_IP/cgi-bin/snapshot.cgi

This setup you have will work only via cloud, locally we just stream this link but the simple auth you use will be blocked via browser/app. In cloud it will work as we are sending the image there and no auth is needed apart of the one to the cloud.
For locally to work you will need user and password as part of the URL parameters, after the cgi-bin/

If by cloud you mean mosaic, then that's what I'm using. But unsuccessfully.
I tried to open ports and connect there via vpn, but it all doesn’t work until I enter my username and password through the browser. Through the application does not even receive a request to enter a login and password.

By cloud I mean Mosaic accessed by the via https://remote.logicmachine.net

RE: Camera via HTTP - Nikita - 26.04.2023

That is exactly what has been done.
I tried entered login and password before and after the IP address.
It opens in the browser, without prompting for input, through the cloud there is no request, no picture.
Maybe I can send to you IP address and you can check at your side?

RE: Camera via HTTP - Daniel - 26.04.2023

You can, i tested a local camera and it worked.

RE: Camera via HTTP - Nikita - 19.05.2023

Hello everyone,
Maybe someone could share with own experience, which cameras you were used in Mosaic, in order to decide which camera to buy. Authentication does not work correctly on my Dahua camera.

RE: Camera via HTTP - admin - 06.07.2023

LM Cloud app has been updated with Digest auth support for camera snapshots. The URL must be in the same format as for Basic auth: http://username:password@IP/...
