When accessing Logicmachine scada-main, the CPU load sometimes exceeds 100% - Takayuki Miura - 17.09.2024

Hello!

This time, as the title of the thread says, when accessing scada-main, the CPU load exceeds 100%, making it inaccessible for about 4-6 minutes, and when under high load, the event script that you want to run on logicmachine is not executed.

This problem occurs irregularly and does not occur only under certain conditions.

The same problem occurs with both local network and VPN connections.

Product information
HW: LM5 Lite (i.MX6)
SW: 20211215

I have about 10 LMs purchased around the same time, and this problem is particularly noticeable on three of them.

What do you think the cause is?
Could it be due to a hardware malfunction or a firmware bug?

This problem has not occurred with LM5 Lites purchased after June 2023, so we believe that it may be resolved by updating the firmware.

SW:20230612

For example, if I update the firmware from 20211215 to 20230612, please let me know if there are any problems that may occur.

It is difficult to revert to the original version after a problem occurs, so I would like to make a careful decision.

I look forward to your reply.

Best reggards,

How many objects do you have? Use the latest 2024.04 firmware: https://openrb.com/firmwares/

about 400 objects.

I also have about 400-550 objects for the LM with the same firmware, and I would like to know why this problem occurs on only three of them.

I have about 10 LMs with the same firmware, and this problem occurs on three of them.

Also, please let me know if there are any problems that can occur with the firmware update.

In general firmware upgrade is a safe operation. But make a backup before the upgrade just in case.

Excessive load can be caused by a lot of things. You can install the System load app on LM and check which process is causing high CPU load.

Install System load app to see what is the reason for high load.

Hello, I hope you are all well. This is to let you know if it is possible to obtain the .ipk file for the "System load app" app. I have 7 logic machines installed in a place that, for security reasons, cannot have access to the Internet and I am observing that the CPU/IO is always in the red and exceeds values of 3, so I want to know what is causing this phenomenon to occur so I can control it and reduce processor consumption. Thank you.

Thank you.
I will send you a video of installing system load and checking the CPU load status.

Download link is below.

nginx in particular appears to be consuming a large load.

Below is how to reproduce the state seen in this video.

1. Super reload the scada-main tab.
2. The tab (LM) freezes.
3. Check the CPU load after recovering from the freeze.

What do you think the cause of this is?
Also, I would appreciate if you have any hints on how to solve this.

Install 2024 firmware and see if it helps.

I found the conditions that cause the CPU load to rise and LM to freeze every time.
When accessing LM from a browser, this issue always occurs when creating a URL that includes basic authentication and logging in.

example
http://user:pass@192.168.0.10
When creating a URL like the one above and accessing scada-main using the method of logging in to LM, LM seems to freeze.

As a countermeasure, we will log in to LM in the normal way instead of the above method.
This is by directly entering the LM's IP address in the browser's search bar.

Do you have any ideas as to why LM freezes when logging in to LM using a URL that includes basic authentication?
