Maximum Process Point - Frank68 - 11.10.2024

Hello
I need to know how many maximum objects a LM can manage, I have a system with 14 lines and about 7000 process points.
Can I manage everything with just 1 LM or do I have to install several, if so then how do I synchronize them, if there are scripts and calendars how do I synchronize them, the customer would like to use only the TP control, there will be a single PC connected directly to the LM.
Suggestions?

Thank's

Well, you are asking for trouble. I did see a project with 8k but LM was slow but somehow worked. In general I would say no it cannot handle but with very careful planing it could work but it all depend of traffic. If you going to let all 7000 objects to be updated then it is enough to send bigger amount of telegrams at once and KNX tpuar will struggle to handle it. You will have KNX temperature warnings, high CPU load etc.
Ideally you should move this to IP network and divide this with 2-3 LMs(depend of other stuff). We recommend around 2-3k of objects as there are always some scripts, trending etc.
