Hi,

I am trying to use Lm5 on IP backbone with five knx Lines.
I tried a simple test prior, Lm5 with only IP connection to an IPR and it just worked (with Mode set to IP Routing).

Should it just work on site to with multiple lines?
Apart from not seeing any changes to objects, what else can I look at or try?

Thanks

By default LM has no filters set so yes it will work. If there will be too big traffic you can add filters in LM. Communication is done via multicast, just make sure IT didn't block this.

Thanks Daniel. I will default it and try again.

Is there a particular setting that confirms all is correct - Interface or Arp table?

Network is a few basic Teltonika switches to expand on a basic BMS network.

Sorry, I believe I was simply missing groups being filtered on the IPRs to the backbone (where the Lm5 is).
So unless a group is placed on the backbone, the Lm5 won’t monitor it? I expect thats standard for IPRs set to filter, but checking as I was assuming it would connect to each KNX line and be tracking all lines/groups.

This is how KNX works Smile You need create filter table for each group you want it to be on the backbone and then LM can see it.
In tunneling this works like that but we use multicast here.

Yes I thought I had IPRs set to route by default… was the other way around (set to filter). And perhaps best this way to limit traffic. First system with IP backbone.

C-Bus version we have much more basic filtering on the networks and use to seeing traffic without applying filter tables etc.
