Alexa commands are very slow - omer1143 - 08.11.2025
Hello,
I installed the Alexa functionality over the last couple of days (about 20 devices) and started using it. I get pretty random reaction times (from a couple of seconds to multiple minutes). That is not really usable. The reaction time should be 1-2 seconds and not more.
Is there anything that can be optimized to improve things?
Are there others experiencing a similar behavior?

I will test it later on today but it used to work instantly.

Tested it today and execution is instant, feedback also works nearly instantly. It must be something to do with your network/internet connection.

Interesting. I still get random reaction times (> 1min) and it does not change if I turn off my firewall settings (I have a 5Gbit internet line, this can't be the problem
). After I reboot the LogicMachine (LM5 Lite in my case), then the reaction is immediate for the first 3-4 commands and then it becomes slow again. Did you test it with multiple devices as well? Are there any others which have a bigger number of devices setup up (all with the 'Power state' skill) and there is no delay with switching on/off devices with Alexa commands?

Maybe your LM is overloaded. What is your CPU/Memory?
