Connection between 2 LogicMachines - Chandrias - 13.12.2025

I have 1 LM on my office and 1 on my house.
Is it possible to create a connection between them and exchange information?
I would like to get some readings and even be able to send a command if required.

One of many solutions: https://kb.logicmachine.net/integration/mqtt-cloud/

So, If I understand well, you will need an intermediate Cloud service to
bridge the communication.
Isn't there an option for direct communication between the LM's?

Admin, correct me if I'm wrong.

Instead of an external MQTT broker, I guess you could use the built in broker on one of your LM.

Connect both LM to the same ZeroTier network.

I am new to this area, so forgiver my ignorance.
I already have a VPN connection between my home and my offfice. (If that helps)
Is there a manual on how to implement the configuration between the two devices?

RE: Connection between 2 LogicMachines - admin - 13.12.2025

Yes, ZeroTier is another option.

If both LMs can already reach each other over VPN then you can run MQTT broker on one LM and use the same approach as mentioned in our knowledge base but with a local server.

I have never approached that issue. Do you have a detailed guide on how to implement it?

Install and configure MQTT server (broker) on one LM: https://kb.logicmachine.net/integration/mqtt-server/
Then follow this guide starting from #3: https://kb.logicmachine.net/integration/mqtt-cloud/#3-set-up-mqtt-private-cloud-connector-for-each-logicmachine

On both my servers there is no option for input/output tag "mqtt". See attached picture

RE: Connection between 2 LogicMachines - admin - 09.01.2026

You need to assign this tag to objects first.

And how do you do that?

RE: Connection between 2 LogicMachines - Daniel - 09.01.2026

Go to LogicMachine object tab and click on it and add TAG. You can also use filter and Mass edit to do many at once.

I figured it out. Thanks
