LogicMachine and filter table - mrKayne - 26.03.2026

Hello

On a current project, I have several line couplers and my LogicMachine is installed on line 1.x.x

So when I activate the filters within each line coupler, I get zero traffic to the LM, which also gives me another problem, as I have several group adresses that the building BMS need to read from BACnet.

What would the correct approach be to make things work?

Hope it makes sense. Thanks!

The standard KNX way is to add a dummy KNX device where LM is and lilnk the groups LM must see.

Thanks for the reply!

So basically I need an object from the dummy devices (plural, as I have a lot of groups...) in every other group which I need the LM to see?

I usually use Schneiders. Do you know of one with more objects? Especially 1-bit objects.

Yes, this is standard KNX behaviour. Didn't use any dummy for very long time. You can use any brand and you can use more then one if needed.

So now I have tried to add the dummy on the same line as the LM and linked objectives from the dummy to each of the group adresses which I need the LM to see.

But it doesnt seem to be working. I've ofcourse tried to download the line coupler again.

Do you know if the filter table preview should change when using the above mentioned method?

Yes it should. Draw your topology.

Please see attached image.

1.7.0 is the only line coupler as of now. All group adresses the LM needs to see is on this line. Will expand to more lines eventually.

When you right click on the line coupler and do the filter table preview, what does it say?
Did you set any filtering on LM or is it as default?

Filter table preview is empty.

Didn't touch filtering on the LM.

SOLVED!

A nice individual on the KNX GLOBAL Facebook recommended Schneiders SpaceLogic KNX Secure Dummy, which has no objectives, but just an interface where you can pull all GA needed into, and it works like a charm!

Just drag and drop all relevant GA's onto "Dummy-grænseflade" (dummy-interface), and that will update the filter table and require a re-download of the linecoupler.
