HomeKit App with Apple TV / HomePod - s.prathmesh - 23.06.2026 Hello, LogicMachine5Lp has been configured with HomeKit app in it, and its been working as expected. However, at times there are situations wherein there is no response from LM and HomeKit app shows no response with all exclamatory marks. Any particular reason why this happens? Since there is a limit of 150 devices in HomeKit app, we are exploring Apple TV / HomePod option. Is there any special configuration needed once TV/HP is logged in with same Apple ID as iPhone? Is there a automatic transfer of configuration from LM to TV/HP? Who shall be the master and slave here? PS - Network has been stable and rest configuration in LM is working fine too, lot of scenes and HVAC BACnet integration with KNX as backbone. RE: HomeKit App with Apple TV / HomePod - Daniel - 23.06.2026 Maybe your LM is overloaded, it seems its doing a lot. The apple tv stuff is all Apple thing, nothing to do with us. RE: HomeKit App with Apple TV / HomePod - s.prathmesh - 23.06.2026 Ah there have been projects wherein LM load was much more than this. But I do get what you meant. Could you please elaborate on using Apple TV / HomePod along with LM (HomeKit app installed) for increasing 150 devices limit? How does this work? RE: HomeKit App with Apple TV / HomePod - admin - 23.06.2026 You can't increase the 150 device limit. If you need more devices then the only solution is to install another LM. RE: HomeKit App with Apple TV / HomePod - s.prathmesh - 23.06.2026 Shoot! Unfortunately adding another LM won't provide remote control, automations and family sharing capabilities. Please correct me if I am wrong. RE: HomeKit App with Apple TV / HomePod - Daniel - 23.06.2026 If you want remote access to homekit via homekit then you need apple tv or the hub. You can always add more bridges to single home. |
