Prevent KNX cross-talk between two LogicMachines on the same local network - davidchispas - 18.08.2026

Hi everyone,

I have two identical single-family houses, each equipped with its own LogicMachine and TP1 KNX installation. Since they share the same project origin, they have overlapping individual addresses and identical Group Addresses.

Recently, both installations were unified under the same Internet router/network infrastructure (House A on 192.168.1.x
and House B on 192.168.2.x). I need to make sure that KNX telegrams from House A never leak into House B, while keeping ETS6 programming capability active both locally and remotely via ZeroTier (using IP Tunneling).

Before applying these changes, I would appreciate it if you could confirm my planned settings:

  1. House A (Screenshot 1):
    • Enable IP Routing: Disabled (unchecked)
    • Accept IP Tunneling connections: Enabled (checked)
    • Multicast IP:224.0.23.12

  2. House B (Screenshot 2):
    • Enable IP Routing: Disabled (unchecked)
    • Accept IP Tunneling connections: Enabled (checked)
    • Multicast IP: 224.0.23.13 (Changed from default just in case)

My questions:
  1. With Enable IP Routing disabled on both units, will this completely prevent group addresses from crossing between houses over Multicast/UDP?
  2. Will ETS6 IP Tunneling (unicast to each LM's IP / ZeroTier IP) still work reliably with these settings for programming individual devices on each TP bus?
  3. Is there any additional parameter or filter I should adjust in the LogicMachines?
Thanks in advance for your help!

Making multicast different on both LMs will make them invisible to each other. You can still use Zerotier and tunnelling.
