Ios Siri or Homekit support? - gjniewenhuijse - 04.10.2015 Is there any plan / roadmap to support Ios Siri commands or Homekit, so you can make your knx installation voice driven? RE: Ios Siri or Homekit support? - admin - 05.10.2015 We might add Homekit support if there's enough demand for it. We are not big fans of fully closed technologies like Siri where Apple can change anything or drop support for certain features at any point. I think you can earn money with that feature Maybe make a standalone product like the dali gateway, a Siri gateway : I buy some pieces RE: Ios Siri or Homekit support? - gjniewenhuijse - 08.10.2015 a "non official" solution embedded in the LM is also great, for an example see: https://github.com/brutella/hc or https://github.com/KhaosT/HAP-NodeJS or https://github.com/nfarina/homebridge RE: Ios Siri or Homekit support? - npinguin - 29.10.2015 I am also all for this and ready to pay, my Customers are asking for this RE: Ios Siri or Homekit support? - Monolithos - 03.07.2016 Yes, definitely an opportunity for additional sales...customer demand should never be ignored :-) RE: Ios Siri or Homekit support? - josep - 06.07.2016 I am very interested in homekit compatibility too, and specially now with a new Home App and a "Actions" setup RE: Ios Siri or Homekit support? - bmodeco - 23.07.2016 I have bought the thinka to do this. It allows you to do on/off switching and dimming using knx objects for the moment and works great. On ios there are some homekit apps available that allow you to create scenes and so on. You need an knx-ip router (like LM) to use it. Check out thinka.eu. RE: Ios Siri or Homekit support? - Erwin van der Zwart - 23.07.2016 Hi, Why would you invest in additional HW and extra energy consumption for functionality that LM/HL/SL has already on board or soon will have?? If you know LM/HL/SL you can already talk with HomeKit . I would post a article on Thinka site they should use most flexible system ever instead if Thinka (: BR, Erwin van der Zwart RE: Ios Siri or Homekit support? - bmodeco - 24.07.2016 (23.07.2016, 19:47)Erwin van der Zwart Wrote: Hi, I agree Erwin. I would prefer it integrated in LM - I am a big fan of LM/Homelynk. But right now, if i am not mistaken, there is no easy way to integrate it into LM. If there is, i am very interested in it since i am creating my first full LM/KNX project (my own house) and would like to add homekit/siri to it - certainly with the upcoming homekit app and possibilities in ios10. So if there is a procedure to do it right now on LM please let me know. Best regards, Bart Moyson RE: Ios Siri or Homekit support? - josep - 24.07.2016 I have bought a Thinka (Raspberry Pi inside ) and it works fine, easy to configure and works all the time great with iOS10 Home app beta... I hope LM integrate homekit soon and make it as easy as Thinka. Well, it is the most flexible system, but you are suggesting to program a Homekit integration from scratch? I think most users/integrators are not up for that task. I would think and wish LM could do this, but for now the only viable option is to buy a Thinka or two, and be done with it. LM would see their sales skyrocket if they implement a good Homekit bridge into it. For now I always use Thinkas on all of our projects. The new version will even have a chip that will make it an Apple certified product. So yeah, this is a highly demanded feature, and I would go back buying LM's for projects if Homekit is supported. RE: Ios Siri or Homekit support? - gaxy - 05.10.2016 +1 for the Home Kit. RE: Ios Siri or Homekit support? - jetsetter - 07.10.2016 +1 for a HomeKit support in LM RE: Ios Siri or Homekit support? - andeug - 10.10.2016 +1 for Apple HomeKit support! I am using Siri almost on a daily basis and I am too lazy to start the LM4 app link from my iPhone. I prefer voice, then before go to sleep, I just say "Siri, put my phone into Silent Mode". RE: Ios Siri or Homekit support? - jetsetter - 18.10.2016 Hi, Has anyone check BWS systems solution here: http://bwssystems.com/#/habridge (the relative github site is here: https://github.com/bwssytems/ha-bridge) This Home automation bridge emulates a Philips Hue light system and thus can control other systems that provide an http/https/tcp/udp interface, but also enables control from Amazon Echo too. So, I can think of the following possibilities in case you don't want to mess with another box: 1) OpenRB to integrate this as an LM app (easier/safer bur relies on LM developers to do)? 2) manually install this as a parallel server running on the LM and interface with LM Remote services (difficult/dangerous)? In any case, this is another alternative to other similar solutions the Node.Js binding, witch shows that a Siri / Alexa support is a must for the LM ecosystem!! Any news/plans of this to be supported on future FW releases? Are you planning Homekit support or not? I'm 100% sure it will be a very sought for feature. I'm also not a fan of Apple's policies but they are market dominant and here to stay. I also don't like Trump, I don't like Putin, but they are there and we have to live with them. If you don't like Homekit, what is then the alternative you propose to get the same functionality (assuming we are using the same ios device)? Thanks! RE: Ios Siri or Homekit support? - edgars - 04.01.2017 we are working on HomeKit integration, also Amazon Echo (Alexa) is being integrated and Skill will be available soon. |
