it is possible to make this connection to my local server using xampp and phpmyadmin use the following address
localhost / phpmyadmin

Yes, but instead of localhost you must put your remote server IP address. Check MySQL priviliges that user can connect from remote IPs. Also, your script has incorrect variable naming, user this example and do not change variable names:
