LM4 unable to restore, Help!
#1
I have a LM4 with relative old firemware, I belive it's 2018 or even older, I have never tried to upgrade it before. It has been working perfectly fine for years until recently. I wasn't able to login with IP.
The error reads:
"Lua error /www/apps/index.lp:53: '=' expected near '}'
and ping to it's IP is intermitent.
So, I pull out the SD card, and replaced it with a new one, using this guide: (https://kb.logicmachine.net/misc/reflash...ng-player/) to flash the recovery img and then upgrade to the latest 202404 firmware. And according to this thread (https://forum.logicmachine.net/showthrea...hlight=LM4), I copied  all of the folders/files in the 3rd partition from the corrpted SD card and pasted into the new SD card (using a ubuntu system using the cmd: sudo cp -r -p * /path) , hope it will restore the service back to normal.
But...... I ended up with a new system, all of the scripts are gone, I can only find some images in there, no scripts, nothing.
I have also tried to copy all of the files/folders from the 2nd partition from the corrped SD card to the new one, but then I ended up got the same error when trying to access it using IP.

BTW, I was able to make a full backup using USB image tool from the corrpted SD card, but I figured it might ends up with the same results as above. because I appears that the system file was corrped.
Can anyone help please!!! Thank you!

If the data on SD card is corrupted then the only thing you can do is to do a normal recovery and restore project backup.

The thing is I can access the old SD card no problem, I can run a full backup using the USB image tool, and files/folders are accessible on an ubuntu system. Is there anyway I can extract files/folders then import them to the new SD card?
Or if I use the method to copy the 3rd partition and paste to the new card, will there be any firmware compatibility issue? Because the firmware on the old card is very old, now I am thinking maybe 2016 version, will the configuration works on the new 2024 firmware? Thanks

Being able to copy it doesn't mean the file is not corrupted. You wrote above that you already tried the 3rd partition and it doesn't work.

And to be clear, there are total 3 folders in the 3rd partition:
apps
ftp
storage

Is that right?

And since I was able to backup the old SD card, is there anyway I can reflash the firmware without touching the 3rd partition? Excuse my crazy thoughts when I am panic and completely out of ideas now

Is it possible to share the old firmware like 2017 or 2018 version.
'cuz when comparing the files on the old SD card with the latest 2024, I see some fold name are changed for the same applications, such as mosaic
Thank you

Found this in the archive, not sure if this was stable version or some beta.

Don't think it will help, most likely your db is corrupted.

Do you happen to have 2015 firmware available?
Just tried the 2017, the Mosaic version has already been upgraded to 2.0. I see the folder structure is complete different from the one I had earlier.
Again, appreciate your help~

No, but it makes no difference.

I copied the 3rd partition to the 2017 firmware, and now under /apps/store/data I have 4 mosaic folders, it appears from version 1 and 2.
