LM 5 getting unresposive
#1
Hi,

I did just upgrade the LM5 to the newest firmware and have started on setting up some visualiation. The problem is that the unite get unresponsive after a while - the browser is just loading the LM web page. I can still ping the unite while it's unresponsive.
Did remove the mosaick app since it seemed like it got unresponsive after opening the app, but removing the app did not solve the issue. I need to rebot the unite to be able to log on to it and then it's stops working after a while.

Can the issue be sd-card related or does anyone have any tips on how to move forward with resolving the issue?

Did you clear browser cache after the install? Which LM version is it?

Tried to remove the cache from chrome browser, but it made no difference.

The unit is model: LM5p-DR and I installed the newest firmware to it.

The problem seems to now happen every time I change a setting of a button on the visualisation -  after I have done the change and click save it just goes to 100% on the saving bar and then restarts from 20% to a 100% a few times before it stops. Then I can click a bit around in the web page, but it's not really working and if I type the IP adress again in chrome it just trying to load the webpage.

Did try to add an object and it's still there after an rebot/power off of the unite.

I think I have found out why the LM5 gets unresposive sometimes. I had linked the objects in visualisation to a object that goes to a DMX512 dimmer trough a RS485 connection, but since there is no cable connected to the LM it's trying to send/update the value without success and it goes into a loop trying to update the value and therefore get unresponsive.

Changed the icons objects on the visualisation to virtuell objects and now it seems to work.

Strange that LM goes into a loop hole by something like this, is thats because the command goes trough the dmx script (from the openrb examples page)
