LOADING AN ETS6 FILE ONTO A LOGIC MACHINE PROJECT 55
#1
Good morning,

I'm facing a difficult problem and would like to know if there's a possible solution.

As I mentioned in some previous questions, I'm developing a SCADA system for an apartment building. The system consists of six Logic Machine 5s: five for each of the building's five entrances and the sixth for the garage. The five Logic Machines in each entrance receive data via KNX from the apartments, specifically data from the combined temperature, CO2, and humidity sensors installed in each unit.

Initially, I created an ETS file for each entrance, with the group addresses for each apartment. This resulted in five ETS files, with the group address for the temperature of apartment 1A in entrance 1 being the same as the group address for apartment 1A in entrances 2, 3, 4, and 5. After that, I thought about creating the screens on one of the six logic machines and sending the data from the other logic machines via BACnet IP.

The problem I'm encountering is that the company that will maintain the building tells me that the SCADA master is the logic machine in the garage, which should receive the data from the logic machines in the building entrances via IP, using filters, etc., and that the KNX implementation must be done in a single KNX file.

The problem is that the logic machines contain not only KNX objects for the apartments, but also data from Modbus electricity meters, rooftop photovoltaics, etc.

My question is, can I upload a single, new ETS file for all the apartments in all the building entrances without losing the non-KNX programming done on the logic machines? Thank you very much.

Best regards,
Alejandro A.

When importing KNX project to LM there is option Update existing objects: if you leave it unchecked then existing objects will be untouched even if same exist in ets project.
