Old Visu firefox extension

Hi,
I was debating whether or not to create this post, but a colleague insisted that someone would find this neat, if only for internal bragging rights.
Unsure if this is the right forum section, feel free to delete this post Admin if its in the wrong place or breaches some guidelines.


Cutting to the chase; Internally we needed to create quite a few visualizations, but it quickly became tiring and bothersome to manage multiple objects, align them, etc. So, I created a Firefox extension that simply augments the existing tools inside the visualization system so that we can work more quickly and accurately.

Current capabilities include JSON export and import, along with various alignment and move/copy functions, as demonstrated in the GIFs below. Creating new objects through JSON allows for the automation of many previously manual tasks when running the SpaceLynk as a BMS.

Horizontal spread and align to top:

I'm uncertain if we'll be allowed to release it publicly, but hopefully we should be able to eventually.

Yeah, noticed that. 
We do have a lot of automatic widget generation and similar in the old system that we can't just quite let go of yet

Do you know if/when new visu gets released for the SpaceLynk?

No idea, SE does nothing around this for now.

the extension works perfectly. 

A few suggestions for improvement:
1. When you select multiple elements, copy them, and then paste them again, it would be nice if the newly pasted elements were all automatically selected.
2. Option to delete multiple selected elements

Both features are in the pipeline, hopefully I'll get them done today.

I suppose you are on a SL? Haven't tested it on a LM yet.

Added both suggestions + distribute in grid. Gif doesnt show the popup dialog though.
When deleting multiple objects you gotta hit enter/confirm and when distributing in grid you have to select column count.

Cleaned up the extension menu for selecting allowed site to remove misunderstandings in what is/what isnt whitelisted.

Pushing update now, should be live within 10 minutes. In theory it should auto-update from my server if all works as it should!

Multi-move performance increased drastically along with arrowkey nudging handling all objects at once:


Thank you for your feedback, I'll keep making enhancements as requests come in.
Essentially this is now production ready and polished enough for practical use.
