KNX/TP sniffer
#1
Hi,

Sometimes it can be useful to have the ability to capture/sniff the telegrams over KNX/TP - for example in case of a storm/loop of some sort.

Is there something we can use to do this, kind of a tcpdump for KNX?
Thank you!

KNX is a multicast, everything goes everywhere. You can only use filters between lines

Ok.

Is it possible to display (sniff/capture) the telegrams on the bus?
Thank you!

You have KNX statistics which shows you the traffic.

It shows me statistics - not the traffic.

I want to see:
- sender IA
- destination IA/GA
- type of request - e.g. read/write
- data

If you're familiar with network tools such as 'tcpdump', 'wireshark' - I mean the same thing, just for KNX.
Thank you!

There is app for it but has to be uploaded manually via FTP to apps. Unzip and upload to data folder

Attached Files
.zip   KNX monitor.zip (Size: 3.23 KB / Downloads: 36)
