Hello,
We would like to request a modified version of the existing Thermostat Widget, designed specifically for VRV / VRF air-conditioning systems.
VRV / VRF systems are the primary heating / cooling solutions used across the Mediterranean region and many nearby countries, and they dominate most of our smart-home projects. Because of this high usage, a dedicated widget is extremely valuable for our installations.
I have described the required widget parameters below, and I have also attached a visual mock-up showing the configuration layout and options for Visu Admin.
Main Differences from the Standard Thermostat Widget
Mode Selection Section
If Show Mode Selection is enabled, the Operation Modes section becomes visible.
There will be two selectable mode formats:
1-Byte Operation Mode
Users will be able to manually enter values for each mode:
These values should be editable in the widget configuration.
Fan Speed Selection Section
If Show Fan Speed Selection is enabled, the Fan Speeds section becomes visible.
Fan speed format options:
Selectable speeds:
For example, if Speed 1 to Speed 4 are enabled, the widget should support:
1-Byte Fan Speeds
Selectable options:
Additionally, fan byte format options should support:
Auto / Manual Selection Section
If Show Auto-Manual Selection is enabled:
Summary
This widget will allow LogicMachine to be fully compatible with a wide range of VRV / VRF indoor units, by supporting:
Thank you in advance for considering this request — we believe this widget will be highly useful for many system integrators working with VRV / VRF systems.

- “Force on when changing mode or setpoint” option will not be included.
If Show Mode Selection is enabled, the Operation Modes section becomes visible.
There will be two selectable mode formats:
- 1-Bit Operation Mode
- 1-Byte Operation Mode
- The Reverse Cooling / Heating option becomes active.
- Depending on the value (0 or 1), heating and cooling states will be reversed.
1-Byte Operation Mode
Users will be able to manually enter values for each mode:
- Cooling
- Heating
- Humidifier
- Fan
These values should be editable in the widget configuration.
If Show Fan Speed Selection is enabled, the Fan Speeds section becomes visible.
Fan speed format options:
- 1-Bit Fan Speeds
- 1-Byte Fan Speeds
Selectable speeds:
- Speed 1 → Speed 4
- 1-bit control object
- 1-bit status object
For example, if Speed 1 to Speed 4 are enabled, the widget should support:
- 4 × 1-bit fan speed control objects
- 4 × 1-bit fan speed status objects
Selectable options:
- Speed 1 → Speed 4
- Auto
Additionally, fan byte format options should support:
- Scaled value
- Unsigned integer
If Show Auto-Manual Selection is enabled:
- One 1-bit Auto / Manual object will be added.
- Reverse Auto / Manual option
- 0 = Auto / 1 = Manual
or
- 1 = Auto / 0 = Manual
This widget will allow LogicMachine to be fully compatible with a wide range of VRV / VRF indoor units, by supporting:
- brand-dependent byte mode values
- selectable fan control styles
- reverse logic options
- Auto / Manual control
Thank you in advance for considering this request — we believe this widget will be highly useful for many system integrators working with VRV / VRF systems.
