Dali scan devices -> rescan
#1
Hello,

We have a project with a lot of dali devices and like to add all dali devices one by one, so we can map/indentify all the dali devices before they are build in the ceiling.

What we do:
- Connect dali device 1
- Scan devices
- Devices is found
- Map the knx groupaddresses
- Disconnect dali device 1
- Connect dali device 2
- Scan devices
- Device 2 is found, but device 1 mapping is deleted.

Is it possible to hold the mapping of dali devices that are not found at a scan?

Other problem is when you have a dali error and you click on scan devices all devices and mappings are lost. Thats not nice for a complete dali building.

How to solve this?

We have plans to add several scan modes in next FW, including the one that you require.

There will be four scan modes in the new version of Dali plugin:

1. Full scan, set short addresses
2. Full scan, clear device mapping
3. Full scan, keep device mapping
4. Partial scan, only add new devices

Mode 3 should be used when new device is added to an existing installation and mode 4 is the one that you require.

Hope this can be implemented with ETS file import also.
Now it only adds new group adresses ignoring those already made.
There should be an option to update exsisting group adresses, (Name of group adress)
An option to add group adresses without datatype. In Excel i have an document I import to ETS to use for mapping but many group adresses have no KNX telegram connected. They are not importet in Logic Machine
Hope this is possible as it would be great to have this functions
