Automatic Reports
#1
Hi,
I’m wondering if there is an easy way to generate automatic reports of trending.
Like in a house where we have several KWh meters that we want to present once a week, Month and Year.  In a PDF or something like that, with charts.

I have read some about Google Sheets API, is that the best way to go?

Google Sheets API might be too complicated. Maybe something like Grafana (https://grafana.com/) can be used. It can get data from InfluxDB. Data can be stored there from LM via simple HTTP requests: https://forum.logicmachine.net/showthread.php?tid=1531

Hi,
The solution that you explained seems very interesting. After reading a lot about influx and Grafana it seems like it will be an expensive solution. So, I started reading about other similar ways. And saw that the LM supports Microsoft Azure, after a brief discussion with the IT guys at my company there might be an easy way. But it all depends on how easy it is to send data from LM to the cloud.

Can you explain to me how it would be done? Or if you see some challenges that we haven’t seen?

My goal with this function is that my company can create a cloud storage\database, that all my LM project can sync their data (selected data) to. From this cloud\database I want to show the data in graphs and some kind of visualization. Then autogenerate reports for email.

If I can use Microsoft Azure and Microsoft BI Power, then I can get all of these functions I believe.
