Laptop + USB interface = attack. In a hotel room its even easier.

LM with 3G modem hidden above the ceiling and you can do what you want while being outside.  Any of us could easily hack any KNX installation. This is not just KNX other protocols have the same issues.

Yes of course you could do that. But historically this has not been a problem.


I have a good solution if you want to make the KNX bus unreachable in a hotellroom. Use Zennio quad in a junctionbox above the celing out in the hallway.
From the Quad you can use a thin cable to a standard spring loaded lightswitch. You can altso connect temp probe and Zennio motion detector with same types of cable to other Quad inputs.
If your afraid that someone will go out in the hallway and open your junction box above the ceeling and access the bus, just use one of the Zennio Quad inputs for a temper-switch on the junction box lid to start an alarm.

And if you use the Zennio inBox24 insted of the Zennio Quad, you altso will get 2x16A relays to controll lights og whatever you want for the same price (:
