hi,

just wondering if you had any success with this? - I'm pretty new to Modbus and I'm having trouble making a connection to the inverters

I'm interested on this too. I don't know how to generate a new custom profile.

Hi Daniel,

thank you for the offer, this is much appreciated , I've been able to find this registry information off the net, and would like to know how to format the .json profile file for the registers - l'm using a Clipsal Shac and would like to be able display the current production and daily yield of the inverter, i found this info on pages 30 to 32 for a SMA SunnyBoy  XXXXX inverters here - http://files.sma.de/dl/2585/WEBBOX-MODBUS-TB-en-19.pdf

Cheers Glenn

I already did the engineering for you for the SunnyBoy 2.5 single, and SB3.0 dual MPP tracker (both single phase) inverters
Attached the SB3.0 profile, SMAv6, and the SB2.5 SMAv5 both partly in Dutch.
Have fun.

Please note: Modbus device address is 3
For some models als the SunSpec structure is avaiable on Modbus address 126.
The Modbus is not working when the inverter is not delivering solar power
