IP camera URL
#1
Hi everyone,

I linked some IP-cameras with the visualisation in LM4,  everything works fine inside the same network as LM.  I opened the necessary ports on my router for external access to my visualisation at home.  Everything works fine here,  except the camerastreams.

To make these streams visual,  i use the camera-url function with an internal URL like http://user:password@192.168.0.50/stream1.mjpg.
I think that when i login from outside my own network,  this URL is not looked up in the network of LM,  but in the client-network.

Anyone experienced this or found a solution for this issue?

Thanks in advance,

You are using LAN camera addressess instead of external addresses. If you can't make a VPN connection you must add this cameras but with external addresses like your LM.

Hi,

And port (;

If your external IP address is 123.124.125.126 and your forwarding is on port 82 then your url should look like this:

http://user:password@123.124.125.126:82/stream1.mjpg

VPN is recommended as it is much more secure than port forwarding
