[OLD] LogicMachine firmware 2016.04.16
#1
Please see here pre-release of firmware.
Make sure you have a backup file of your device prior to upgrading.
Upgrade might take some time if you have many trend logs, during upgrade red/green LEDs will toggle.

Changelog attached.

a LM5?
#3
LM5 is an upcoming device. Peripherial are similar to LM4, but there are the following major add-ons:
- 24V output with voltage and current monitoring max 1 A e.g. to interconnect with KNX Choke and see KNX bus current/voltage
- configurable RS485 termination resistors
- Pover-over-Ethernet support for powering the device
- new enclosure with better heating dissipation

There are planned two versions of CPU module for this device:
- regular CPU which we use in all other LMs based on Freescale i.MX28
- powerful CPU module based on Freescale i.MX6 which is 2.5x more faster for integer calculation and 20x faster for floating calculation

I update my LM4 and I can't give to the specified user permission for no partial visualisation pages only Full or None. Can you check Edgars this issue?

Thanks for bug report, will be fixed in new pre/final release Wink
#6
Will this FW work for Load Balancer too?
#7
Load Balancer FW will be published later on together with stable release for other LMs

Hello Edgars,
I would like to know if there is support for SSH connection and if there is a possibility to store something on LM and then get it on a direct link. For example if we would want to store some configuration file and then directly download it from a link like http://LMip/file.

Would there be any documentation on how to access objects from javascript?

I like that we can now see who and when logged to LM. But how can we digest this data in a script so we can lets say send it in an email or make a notification if some specific user logs in?

I love the direct links for schedulers and trends! thanks.

It seems i am missing Automatic monitoring of Logic Machine system processes script on Network Configuration –> Services –> System monitoring.
Has it removed from the new FW?

Documentation will be provided later on.

It has been replaced by another monitoring software which is not configurable by the end user. Do you require some custom monitoring on your device?

No i don't require any custom monitoring, i updated the FW and was just checking if everything was fine.

Thank you

Thanks, this worked! But I have made a mistake in my question, I was interested in HTTPS not SSH, sorry Smile Do you plan to switch to https when logging to LM? Thanks again.

The new firmware works perfectly with my LM4 purchased directly from you, Edgars!
Do you know which is the stage of an Apple Watch application compatible with LM4?
Are any of your partners working on such thing right now? (if this info is not secret)
#14
Peter, HTTPS is working already now, later we will add a check-box to use it by default or not.

andeug, thanks! I am not sure about this, haven't heard that anybody is working in this direction.

I am experiencing something new, with the newer firmware loaded on LM4:

1. the device is not responding when I am trying to connect to it via IP, locally on the LAN. In the same time, the red/green LED is flashing intermittently (it indicates a fault?)
I have never seen this behaviour before upgrading to lm-16.04/lm4.img software version. Does it do anything related to network/reconfiguration/upgrade by itself on the newer version and I just need to wait? Neither a reboot of the router does not solve anything (the other devices in the network are reachable).
Within the last 2 days I've been catching the same behaviour and the LM4 was accessible again via LAN after some time, without touching it.

2. at a moment I was able to reach the LM4 and I've did a reboot from the Menu. The LM4 was accessible again and now the red/green LED is solid green, not intermittent anymore.

Can I downgrade the firmware back to 15.9 version? Is there any logs that can help you to troubleshoot this issue on my hardware? Has anyone seen this fault?
#16
As Edgars already mentioned:
Quote:Upgrade might take some time if you have many trend logs, during upgrade red/green LEDs will toggle.

So if you have a really large amount of trends, upgrade will take a significant amount of time. After this it's not possible to go back to old firmware directly. You can do a recovery + restore if you have a backup from an old version. Otherwise there's no backward compatibility.
#17
The problem is that this fault appears without touching the firmware/LM4. It happens suddenly without reason.
After some time, I was able to reach via IP the LM4 and went into the Menu/Reboot, and after that, the flashing LED red/green has been turning into solid green.
So, this fault has not appeared during any upgrade process.

hello,

I have updated my logic machine reactor with this new realase, this bug seem to be the same.

others information bugs or question:

- trends : text for 5,10,15,20,30 is the same (0mn)
- after making a trend it'll be cool to change greys parameters if the user want to modify it after without erase it and create a new trend.
- icon menu homepage trend/visualisation....seem to have the old homepage menu without app.

This new firmware with french language and new functions.... very good news.

I'll inform you after more test..... I don't know if it's my network parameters, or explorer (ie, google chrome),or ginx webserver stability, i have some errors.

good work edgars

Any news on the final release date?

Last pre-release this month, then in all depends on how testing goes Smile
