IPv6 support?
#1
Hi,

we've in germany a new popular internet provider for fibre channel internet (deutsche glasfaser) an he provids only DS-Lite, what means you get an native ipv6 support without usable ipv4 adress for incoming traffic.
What works is to use the ipv6 adress, but for this it's necessary that the LM oder SL gets an ipv6 adress.

Is there an solution for that?

Thx and regards

Habib

You don't need to have IPv6 on the devices in your network:
Quote:The DS-Lite architecture uses IPv6-only links between the provider and the customer while maintaining the IPv4 (or dual-stack) hosts in the customer network.
If you need remote access then VPN/ZeroTier is a better solution.

Hi admin,

is zerotier possible with spaceLYnks?
I understand it in that way, that we need a new firmware with zerotier support?

For now not and probably will not be. SE is extremely cautious when it comes to remote access and specially with 3rd party cloud.

thx again :-)

And which LM's supports now zerotier?
First I have to learn to identify my LM at home for the correct new firmware ;-)

EDIT: cool... I didn't know about this new feature in update dialog:

For now I have only LM Lite beta fw. Later all of them will get new fw.

Is this a matching LM for your Beta Fw?

The FW would run on it but whatever you have as extension will not work. Which LM is it?

At moment I don't use any extensions. Only the main device.... I tried successfully the PRE from this one: LM5 Lite + Ext (4 or 6 DIN units)

You didn't get it, LM internally is build from 2 parts, the base which is LM lite and additional card which can be canX, or KNX choke. The full name in on the side label of LM.

OK so the CANx and the top rs485 port will not work. Do you want to try? You will be able to install the correct fw later.

Hi

Just set this up on a LM5 at a customer site. Works very well! Easy to set up and works both for LM5 config and as interface to the KNX-installation.

Any chance that Schneider will add this to the SpaceLYnk as well? Erwin, any thoughts?

Hi, I talked to SE and they are evaluating this solution right now. There was no decision yet. Request this to SE sales for extra push Wink
