LM override the domain
#1
Hi, I have noticed that the LM override the domain with .local, is there any reason for doing it? Is there a way to disable it?

Do you mean for mDNS? What do you want to achieve with this?

Not at the moment. Can you describe a use case?

If LM takes the domain of the network:
1) it can be accessed more easily by clients, because the majority have more problems remembering the IP, instead of a name
2) it solves a lot of problems, especially when the network is not very customizable (for example the problem that I asked a few days ago with the email that was tagged SPAM because of the domain)

1. mDNS does not work in Android. If you have your own DNS server you can create a sub-domain that points to LM IP.
2. SMTP library does not use system hostname/domain when sending. Domain parameter must be added to the mail settings manually or default "localhost" will be used.
