SpaceLynk: OpenVPN connection?? Why?
#1
Hi,

I use a SpaceLynk from Schneider Electric and I've found now your Forum. I've read, that the SpaceLynk is a branded product from you, is this right?

I don't know a technical support from Schneider, therefore I hope you can help me as manufacturer.

After Upgrade the Firmware to the last release by Schneider (1.2 from 20.04.16) I can see a system process called OpenVPN and a route for this connection.

Maybe it's a support connection for something else, but I can't find some Information about that and I want to disable them.

For my customers it's a no-go to provide an unknown connection to their network...

Please help me or have you an contact to your custumer (schneider) for technical support of the spacelynk?

Thanks forwards

Habib

Hi Habib,

I'm a PAE Buildings from Schneider Electric Netherlands and i do a lot of support for HL en SL.

I"m not sure, but i think the Open VPN is used for our new App Remote control that will be released beginning of June.

The controller connects to a cloud service and with the registration of the MAC address you can connect over a secure connection to the controller without port forwarding etc.

I will ask our dev team if we can use the VNC process also for other connections, but currently i don't know this in detail.

If you have any questions you can contact the Schneider Electric front office in your country and they should be able to help you or give you the correct contact.

You can also post your questions here so Edgars, myself, or any other Schneider Electric specialist that visits this forum can help you in your needs.

You can also look at "about" tab in the controller (available from FW 1.2 and 1.5) for additional information.

You can also go directly to the product landing pages:

SL: http://www.schneider-electric.com/en/pro...spacelynk/

Hi Erwin,

thanks for your help and info's :-) they are very usefull for me.

At this point a question a little bit offtopic. After the new release the design of the gauge's are changed. I like the old look, but I can't get the correct CSS Parameters to change. I think they are made via JS Script, or?

Hi Habib,

Yes we changed the gauge to follow the light and dark template settings.

The complete gauge is in a tar.gzip somewhere in the controller and you
cannot change this easily. The gauge is indeed build from JS code.

I have not tried to change it with css, and i don't think this is possible but
ik will take a look later to be sure.

What do you want to change back to the old look? All or fonts or....

I will take a look if i can provide you with the old gauge tar.gzip and a command
to overwrite the new one but i need to test this first to be sure you don't have/get
issues if we do that (:

Hi Erwin,

I like the whole old skormophic look from the old one. The new dark view is to dark for little visualisation displays like an iphone or so. At moment I transfered the whole dark theme via CSS to the normal theme to prevent the dark gauges... to have the dark theme without the dark gauges...

I have my own testsystem for testing changes, so it's no problem.... :-)
