Could LM5 be both KNX router and BACnet GW?
#1
Hi!

One of our customers got two KNX TP areas and two LM5's. They are using the LM5's as gateways to BACnet today, but also wants them to be KNX routers. Is this possible?

When we changed the settings today from TP-UART to IP Router, it stopped sending to BACnet.

If possible, how should the settings be to use it as both IP router and BACnet GW?

Thanks!

Keep KNX connection mode TP-UART and make sure that IP features are enabled on both LMs. Make sure that both devices have the same Multicast IP (default is 224.0.23.12). It's also highly recommended to enable encryption by setting the Backbone key and enabling Only secure communication. Keep in mind that you won't be able to use LM for KNX device programming in this mode.
