LM5 Ethernet
#1
The LM5 Ethernet port indicator is abnormal. I tried to recover the'. img' file from the SD card, but the Ethernet port is still abnormal. I cannot access it through IP.

Did you use a new SD card or reflashed the old one?

1.Using a new SD card.I successfully updated its firmware through IP 192168.0.10, but the network interface still displays an exception. When an exception occurs, I cannot access it through IP.

2.Some LMs do not work after being used for a period of time. I tried to restart the LM and it can temporarily return to normal, but the non working state still occurs. I tried to update the firmware again, but it did not solve the problem

1. Might be a hardware problem or a faulty cable/switch/router.

2. What exactly is not working?

What is the state of the two LM LEDs while this happen?

What is the CPU load and Memory during this time?

When this happens, the LED on the Ethernet interface of the LM is always on or directly off, and I cannot access the LM through IP(Question 2 in the first floor post).

Is the picture in the #10 post helpful for you to analyze the LM fault?

No, it doesn't show CPU load which is on LogicMachine page, bottom right corner. But you should check it while the issue happens.

There are no programs in LM, and in my impression, the CPU load value in the lower right corner of the LogicMachine page is almost 0

Above you did mention that scripts and scenes do not work when this happens, please check the status when you have this issue. A single event script can create massive load and during normal operation LM will be doing nothing. It can be a different issue but the symptoms you describe suggest this.

In order to eliminate the factor of excessive cup load, I directly reset the LM, cleared all programs in it, and upgraded the firmware. Of course, the firmware upgrade operation was completed when the LM can be accessed normally, even though this did not solve any problem of LM failure.

Just to be sure it is not LM can you use different lan cable and a switch/router? If this won't help contact us via email for replacement.

Excuse me, I have a problem with LM on a project: when I input LM's IP in my browser, the following description appears:

The Windows Embedded CE Web Server is enabled on this device.
This file is a placeholder and should be replaced. Please see your Platform Builder docs or our web site at http://msdn.microsoft.com/embedded.

When I input the IP of LM using another browser, sometimes I can access LM normally, but the Ethernet port only has the indicator light on the right flashing; When I couldn't access it through IP, I noticed that there were no flashing lights on the Ethernet port.

You have another device with the same IP address on the network.

Thank you for your answer. I have attached photos of the Ethernet port abnormality in post # 17. Is there any way to solve this problem?

You have IP conflict - LM and another device on the network have the same IP address. This is why LM sometimes cannot be reached. Connect to LM directly (without switch or router) and change the IP address.
