[Close] Dali USB GW not recognized
#1
Hi again,

During my test I wanted to what kind of USB Gateway was supported by the LM.

After plugged in the GW, I saw this in the logs:
Quote:Jan 16 09:50:03 test_dev kern.info kernel: [ 1096.048490] usb 1-1: FTDI USB Serial Device converter now attached to ttyUSB0
Jan 16 09:50:03 test_dev kern.info kernel: [ 1096.042527] usb 1-1: Detected FT232RL
Jan 16 09:50:03 test_dev kern.info kernel: [ 1096.041998] ftdi_sio 1-1:1.0: FTDI USB Serial Device converter detected
Jan 16 09:50:03 test_dev kern.info kernel: [ 1096.031230] usb 1-1: SerialNumber: A103NVZ1
Jan 16 09:50:03 test_dev kern.info kernel: [ 1096.031198] usb 1-1: Manufacturer: FTDI
Jan 16 09:50:03 test_dev kern.info kernel: [ 1096.031164] usb 1-1: Product: FT232R USB UART
Jan 16 09:50:03 test_dev kern.info kernel: [ 1096.031126] usb 1-1: New USB device strings: Mfr=1, Product=2, SerialNumber=3
Jan 16 09:50:03 test_dev kern.info kernel: [ 1096.031062] usb 1-1: New USB device found, idVendor=0403, idProduct=6001
Jan 16 09:50:02 test_dev kern.info kernel: [ 1095.886432] usb 1-1: new full-speed USB device number 3 using ci_hdrc

But If I then go in the Dali tab, and put /dev/ttyUSB0 in port settings, and do a scan, no GW are discovered.
I only see the gateways folder empty.

I think the USB cable is from Clipsal but I cannot find the ref.
It's connected to this PSU: DCDALCIP250-2 from clipsal.
Don't know if I'm doing something wrong of if the GW is not supported.

Edit: found the cable: http://www.clipsal.com/Trade/Products/Pr...=DCCABKIT6

Dali plugin is for EMBS gateways and devices with built-in DALI, other devices are not supported.
