Network utilities
#1
Hello there,
I have a project with three KNX lines, but some how I have a problem with getting the variables from one of them to LM.
Filter tables are made with dummies, and are made the same for all three lines.
When I am checking connection in Network utilities, I can ping all three routers, but "Traceroute" is failing (spinning weel, no result) on one of the lines.
What may be the problem? Is this a network issue? Is Traceroute checking communication on some specific ports?
I have no problem with downloading to all the components, to all three lines from ETS.

Is this a corporate network with managed switches? Maybe multicast port is blocked for this one by IT?

Hallo Daniel,
Yes it is, but I need to know what to say to IT guys, so they can configurate the switches write way. For now they are saying, that all the switches are configurated the same, but as I wrote, I cannot get any data form one of the lines. What is the multicast port? Any specific number?

By default, Multicast IP address 224.0.23.12 and port 3671 is used.
You can try increasing TOS - see KNX settings.

I did increase the TOS, but it is still the same.
I think the problem is with multicast communication. I will take it with IT.
Thank you Daniel.
