Vimar connected actuator - Andrea Becagli - 07.05.2025 Hi, I was wondering if this actuator , vimar 14593 , is one of the few vimar products compatible with zigbee shown in the list at: zigbee devices RE: Vimar connected actuator - Daniel - 07.05.2025 Hard to say, On/off should work but feedback and energy part depend of vimar implementation. RE: Vimar connected actuator - Andrea Becagli - 07.05.2025 What I actually need to know is if it would create a mesh network in order to widen the range. I know every ZigBee device who wired is supposed to work like that but in the past I have tried with a few smart plugs and I could not get the mesh network to work on LM RE: Vimar connected actuator - Daniel - 07.05.2025 Every mains powered device should have router function but you will only find it out once pairing the device. This is nothing to do with LM, Zigbee network does it on its own. Yes, I know but while testing with a smart plug and smart valve, putting the smart valve far away from LM, I noticed signal was 3% in the ZigBee app and then if I was to put the smart plug in the middle nothing really changed. Signal was still at 3% and in the network map every device was connecting directly to the gateway RE: Vimar connected actuator - Daniel - 07.05.2025 The % in the app next to device is signal between coordinator(LM) to end device. Use Network map to check signal strength between each device. RE: Vimar connected actuator - Andrea Becagli - 07.05.2025 ok I will check again, although I am pretty sure it did not change. Can you just confirm me that I am supposed to se some thing like this in the network map: gateway-plug-smart valve or is it correct to se every device connected to the gateway RE: Vimar connected actuator - Daniel - 07.05.2025 Yes you should see something like this https://app.screencast.com/kLtnH7rbUnlX4 RE: Vimar connected actuator - Andrea Becagli - 07.05.2025 (07.05.2025, 12:24)Daniel Wrote: Yes you should see something like this Yep, as I expected even with the smart plug I had only child links. Can I force a device this behaviour someway? RE: Vimar connected actuator - Daniel - 07.05.2025 No, We have seen some smartplugs to not support router function. It is up to manufacture of this device. RE: Vimar connected actuator - Andrea Becagli - 07.05.2025 can you give me any suggestion on which smart plug to buy? or anything possibly cheap that I can use as a ZigBee router? RE: Vimar connected actuator - Daniel - 07.05.2025 All SE mains powered devices works as a router, Philips hue lights, Ikea bulbs. |
