Do event scripts overlap each other?

Hello,

Let's say there is a event script which has a big os.sleep time and then during that time another event script(same event) is called, what will happen? Does the new one overlap the old one and the old one's actions after os.sleep time will happen anyway or the new script cancels any previous script immediately?
