Satel APP

I glad to inform all LogicMachine users that intial version of Satel APP (LogicMachine application for Satel Security System Integra and KNX integration) was released.

This application was developed to avoid the Satel INT-KNX2 module limitations and to integrate the following security system functions into the KNX based home automation systems:

• Checking of security system zone states. For each Satel detector the application generates a virtual KNX group address. The KNX data point type is a byte. The supported states: ready, violation, alarm, bypassed;
  
• Checking of security system partition states. The LogicMachine application reads following partition states: armed, alarm, fire alarm. For storing the partition states three KNX object are used: the first one for indicating armed partitions, the second one for indicating partition alarms and the last one for indicating fire alarms. The type of KNX objects is a 4bytes unsigned integer. Each bit of a KNX object is a flag indicating partition states.
  
• Bypassing zones. The Satel security system allows to bypass sensors in two ways. You can: 1) inhibit zone - the inhibited zone is bypassed until the partition is disarmed; 2) isolate zone - the isolated zone remains disabled until is unbypassed by the user. For each type of zone bypassing a KNX group address with unsigned byte data point type is generated. If you want to bypass a zone send its number to the corresponding KNX object.
  
• Arming/disarming/clearing partition alarm. In order to control the state of partitions, the application generates the KNX group addresses for each command (arm, disarm, clear alarm). Sending partition number to the corresponding KNX object changes partition state. Type of KNX group address is unsigned byte.
  
• Triggering outputs. The KNX sensors can be used as Satel security detectors by creating virtual zones which are violated upon changing the output state. For triggering an output send its number to the corresponding KNX object.
  
• Reading event log. The Application allows to read the event texts from the event log and handle them by LogicMachine (saved locally or transmitted to the external Security or SmartHome systems). The language of the read events corresponds to the DloadX software language version. The Number of events received within one reading transaction and the reading frequency are configurable. For event text processing the KNX group address 255 ASCII Bytes is used by the LogicMachine.
