Ios Siri or Homekit support?

Development is not the problem, it’s the bar set by Apple. certifications, chips, logo’s and even the way you package your device is prescribed to be homekit certified.

Would you want to pay (a lot) extra for that for each controller you buy even when you don’t need voice control?

I guess Alexa and Google (and even Cortana) will win this race in the end..

Google Assist is comming to iOS..
