OK, so I found out I have a read-only SD card (actually two of them).
Now I've had this before and replaced it then, but I completely forgot how I physically changed it Blush 

Do I have to remove the device from the DIN rail? How do I open the device? I can find nothing in the manual on this subject and I don't want to break things...

You need to power it down and take it of the panel. Remove the bottom part and then the PCB. You will find the card there.
