Replacing ballasts in DALI CANx
#1
Hello,

Is there a quick and easy way to replace faulty ballasts in DALI CANx?

Let me explain: sometimes it can happen that one or two ballasts fail and need to be replaced. I usually connect the new ballast and search for it, but the system forces me to configure it again. Is it possible to automatically detect that a new ballast is connected and assign it an existing address without affecting the rest of the connected ballasts and the parameterization?

We don't store the parameters of the ballast, they are only stored in the ballast itself. each time you edit we actually reading all from the ballasts. If the ballast is broken then we can't read anything from it so not possible to write to new one.
