If you use the storage function, will the values set in storage keep their values even after a reset or a powerloss? After a download?

Yes, but in order to increase SD card lifespan all data (database, storage, trend logs etc) is flushed from memory to disk every 30 minutes. Backup archive has all storage values inside.
