please help me!
I encountered one case, people help. It's very frustrating ...
I created a shortcut to access quick controls LM3 (picture 1), but each time it reappeared (Figure 2) start a new log-in.
I do not want (Figure 2) out again, every time I visit.
I use the iPhone 6s, OS v9.x. Safi used to create a shortcut. Does anyone know this does not fix it?
I am very grateful to everyone!

You must use not shortcut for LM visualisation address but:
http://login:password@LM_visualisation_address

e.g. http://admin:admin@192.168.0.1/scada-vis

In this way, success is always !.
Then I create a shortcut, the next time visitors click on them, but it does need a password.
How do I control when I want without having to enter the password for this .... I will visit more quickly.

Hi Phongvucba,

There are a few items that can cause this:

1) You use the wrong password / username combo in your shortcut URL (http://username:password@......)

Possible solution: Check your credentials

2) There is information stored in the iOS 'offline' shortcut. ( i don't think the 'offline' cached page will also hold your credentials but you can try for sure)

Possible solution: Set the date of your iOS device 1 year wrong (to 2017), delete homepage shortcut, clear the browser internet cache,
create new homepage shortcut and open it, set the iOS date back to normal. With these steps your force the iOS device to reload all data from the controller
instead of keeping the 'offline' stored data. We can't change this, its how iOS works );

3) Disable username / password for Visu (i think you want this from the info inside your post)

I attached a screenshot how to do that.

Erwin

I have created a shortcut like this on my home screen on my iPhone. However, is this safe to do when accessing the LM4 from outside the local network? Is the username and password sent in plain text when using an URL like http://admin:admin@externalIP/scada-vis?

It's better to use HTTPS, you need to forward port 443 instead of 80.

Thank you. When I try to connect over HTTPS instead of HTTP I get the following error message in Chrome: "NET::ERR_CERT_AUTHORITY_INVALID". Is there any way to resolve this?

Hi,

So this seems to be the same for Safari, Chrome and Firefox on IOS. Disabling the password on the visualization, using the straight http with username and password is not an option given this just gives away the credentials when remote connecting. Finally that leaves https, after the LM certificate is trusted its possible to access the visualization yet still the username and password have to be filled in every time. The certificate that is provided on the LM is not complete, there is no Organization and Organization Unit filled out.

Why is not possible to get the LM to request to IOS that its (the LMs) username\password should be saved?

Thanks,

Roger

Newer (unreleased) FW has an option to remember passwords for client devices. Also, we have plans to add an option for installing your own SSL certificates.

Hi, this is good to know. Is there a possibility to get this unreleased version released. Even if its just a patch. This is the one feature of the LM which is missing.

Thanks,

Roger
