Works perfect. I used it for my Apple HomeKit testing: https://github.com/KhaosT/HAP-NodeJS

Hi,

Is there a tutorial to implement this? Ultimately this would be nice when this be part of the standard build of the LM.

Thanks,

Roger

Hi,

I think that adding homekit support to the Logicmachine as a standard feature would benefit the Logicmachine eco-system. In light the recent apple developers conference,  IOS 10 will get a new app "Home" which will visualize homekit.  Apple is getting more serious with home automation. Based on this fact and there are very few KNX products on the market that can integrate with Homekit. The LM with homekit would be a good combination.

Thank,

Roger

Hi,

I've just realized it out of the box with implementing via an raspberry pie and have made a short video demo.
Maybe it's interesting for some of you ;-)

One question - what use-cases are you willing to get from Homekit?

As Apple is opening Siri for external apps, we have plans to use it for voice control. Our idea was not to use Homekit, but make a connector to Siri. It would be realized with our starter app on Android (with google voice control) and later for iOS.

Just for the information, EMBS doesn't like Apple technologies because Apple likes to control everything thus limiting our freedom. We are always trying to exclude such situations when somebody is pushing on the way how to do something.

I like to add Homekit devices in the LM/HL. So we can use native IOS apps to control our devices. There are many (free) ios apps that can control Homekit devices. And then we have also Siri support. See the Thinka project how they solved it, mostly with opensource software.
